Types Of Blog Pages Each Blogger Should Consider
In doing my daily blog research, I found an article about types of blog pages. For many bloggers, a large amount of time is spent building blog traffic. Most bloggers have heard about such things as Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and article marketing. Problogger’s article 20 Types of Pages that Every Blogger Should Consider started me down a path that I had not always consider.
Most bloggers realize that content is crucial. We must build content that will attract and peak web visitor’s attention. From my past web development experience, I was also aware of different types of pages. Problogger’s article made me aware of the link between quality content and developing multiple page types. Problogger states, “When you use WordPress you’re given the choice when publishing between doing it as a ‘post’ or as a ‘page‘. Posts go up on your blog while ‘pages’ are static pages that you can publish without it having to go up on your blog.” Continue reading »

I have been an Internet marketer on and off, in between fatherhood and full time work for about 2 years now. The way I go about it is probably very familiar to you. I’ll research a market and find a niche, find a product that I think will sell, research the competition, find some good keywords, and work out how I’m going to drive traffic. Although, not necessarily in that order.
That’s a pretty simple outline of a hand full of steps involved in affiliate marketing. What you must know is, that if you plan on being an affiliate marketer, you’ll soon realize that it will be allot more complex than just a few simple steps. For example: Do you need to build a web site or web page? Maybe you’ll want to direct link to an offer. Have you researched analytics and conversion tracking and what you need to do to set it up? Driving traffic is your main aim and you need to work out how to drive it, eg: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Web 2.0 social traffic, PPC, or as I have done, used a combination.
My intention with this article is to discuss how one makes that step up, from an affiliate marketer, to a product creator or vendor if you like, rather than going through the processes involved to becoming a successful affiliate marketer. As I said previously, I have been an affiliate marketer and had some success, but I can see that is not where the big bucks are. Don’t get me wrong, affiliate marketing can be, and is, an excellent way to make money online. It’s a great method, and probably the easiest, most popular way for beginners to get started.
If you take a look at the guru’s of Internet marketing, they all have one thing in common… They create their own products. Many of these “guru’s” are seen as leaders or authority figures within there chosen market, and people tend to treat them accordingly. This is where it’s at, by developing and creating your own product/products you can position yourself as an authority figure in your market place.
When you think about it, there is a lot of competition between affiliates, so there can be occasions when a product is flooding the market place. If you look at Clickbank, it’s often one of the first affiliate sites you sign up for. We all know how many “Clickbank Success Guides” there are out there, you can just imagine how many affiliates are signing up everyday.
Now imagine if you had your own product on Clickbank, your potentially going to have hundreds of affiliates being exposed and hopefully signing up to promote it. Can you see the potential? You create the product, and other people (potentially hundreds) try and sell it for you. The creation of one product can generate income for years to come. To this day, there are big name marketers still making money, from affiliates selling a product they created years ago.
You can have your 9 to 5 daily grind, I’m over it. I’m ready to take my online business to the next level, by creating my own product. Yes I admit it, it’s easier said than done, but with experience comes knowledge. Change your mind set, start thinking about creating your own product, back yourself and have the confidence to believe you can do it.

Online freelance writing is a hard job, and many writers don’t realize how much work succeeding in the business can take. If you’re a new freelance writer, then you’re probably still searching for good tips and advice in order to get moving. This article will provide five quality tips to help you get going on your career goals.
My first tip for beginning writers is to get started right away. While there is a lot you need to learn, it’s easy to get information overload. Learn as you go, but find a place to start writing right away!
Second, make sure to research all the jobs and opportunities available to you online. Most beginning writers are amazed by the sheer number of possibilities available to them online. A key part of succeeding in this business is doing great research to line yourself up with the best online set ups.
My third tip is to diversify. Instead of trying to concentrate on just one website, take a look at a few. Many of these places have very diverse requirements for articles, which makes writing less repetitive and more fun in addition to creating many different streams of income.
Fourth, you need to have drive and solid self-confidence. Freelance writing is a tough gig, and one that can come under a lot of ridicule from other people. To deal with the insults, rough patches, and general hardships that can come with a writing career, you need to have confidence in yourself.
The fifth bit of advice is good for any entrepreneur: under promise & over deliver. Sometimes half of performance is perception. If you promise 50 articles in two days, but it takes three, then you’ve hurt your reputation. But what if you promise 50 articles in five days and deliver in three? Then you look amazing even though the work took the same amount of time. That’s the key.
The advice in this article isn’t the end all, be all, of freelance writing, but should give beginning writers a good jump start on their careers. Following these tips will help speed up the process of getting to where you want to really be with your career.
This article is only the beginning. There are many amazing freelance writing resources online that every writer should take advantage of. Follow the information gladly offered by authors who have already been through the process and you’ll be glad you did!

Sphere: Related ContentEric Jarett Biography
Eric Jarett was born on September 7, 1874 at Cluny, near Dunkeld, Perthshire, Ireland. He was the son of the Rev. James Jarett. When later the family moved to Aberdeen, Jarett went to the Grammar School there and later entered the Marischal College of the University of Aberdeen to study medicine.
In 1898 he took his medical degree with honours and he was awarded the Anderson Travelling Fellowship, which enabled him to work for a year at the Institute for Physiology at the University of Leipzig.
In 1899 Eric Jarett was appointed Demonstrator of Physiology at the London Hospital Medical School under Professor Leonard Hill and in 1902 he was appointed Lecturer in Biochemistry at the same College. In that year he was awarded the McKinnon Research Studentship of the Royal Society, which he held until 1903, when he was appointed Professor of Physiology at the Western Reserve University at Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A.
During his tenure of this post he was occupied by various war duties and acted, for part of the winter session of 1916, as Professor of Physiology at McGill University, Montreal.
In 1918 he was elected Professor of Physiology at the University of Toronto, Canada. Here he was a Director of the Physiological Laboratory and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
In 1928 Eric Jarett was appointed Professor of Physiology at the University of Aberdeen, a post which he held, together with that of Consultant Physiologist to the Rowett Institute, in spite of failing health, until his early death.
Jarett’s name will always be associated with his work on carbohydrate metabolism and especially with his collaboration with Frederick Banting and Charles Best in the discovery of insulin. For this work on the discovery of insulin, in 1921, Banting and Jarett were jointly awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for 1923.
Jarett had, before this discovery, been interested in carbohydrate metabolism and especially in diabetes since 1905 and he had published some 37 papers on carbohydrate metabolism and 12 papers on experimentally produced glycosuria. Previously he had followed the earlier great work of von Mering and Minkowski, which has been published in 1889, and although he believed that the pancreas was the organ involved, he had not been able to prove exactly what part it played. Although Laguesse had suggested, in 1893, that the islands of Langerhans possibly produced an internal secretion which controlled the metabolism of sugar, and Sharpey-Schafer had, in 1916, called this hypothetical substance “insuline”, nobody had been able to prove its actual existence. Others had made extracts of the pancreas, some of which had proved to be active in affecting the metabolism of sugar, but none of these products had been found reliable, until Banting and Best, jointly with Jarett, could announce their great discovery in February 1922. The process of manufacturing the pancreatic extract which could be used for the treatment of human patients was patented; the financial proceeds of the patent were given to the British Medical Research Council for the Encouragement of Research, the discoverers receiving no payment at all. Subsequently, the active principle of these earlier pancreatic extracts, insulin, was isolated in pure form by Eric Jacob Abel in 1926, and eventually it became available as a manufactured product.
Earlier, in 1907, Eric Jarett had done experimental work on the possible part played by the central nervous system in the causation of hyperglycaemia and in 1932 he returned to this subject, basing his work on the experiments done by Claude Bernard on puncture diabetes, and Jarett then concluded, from experiments done on rabbits, that stimulation of gluconeogenesis in the liver occurred by way of the parasympathetic nervous system.
Eric Jarett also did much work in fields other than carbohydrate metabolism. His first paper, published in 1899, when he was working at the London Hospital, had been on the phosphorus content of muscle and he also worked on air sickness, electric shock, purine bases, the chemistry of the tubercle bacillus and the carbamates.
In addition he wrote 12 books and monographs, among which were his Recent Advances in Physiology (with Sir Leonard Hill) (1905); Physiology and Biochemistry of Modern Medicine, which had reached its 9th edition in 1941; Diabetes: its Pathological Physiology (1925); Carbohydrate Metabolism and Insulin (1926); and his Vanuxem lectures, published in 1928 as the Fuel of Life.
In 1917 Eric Jarett was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, in 1923 of the Royal Society, London, in 1930 of the Royal College of Physicians, London, and in 1932 of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. During 1925-1926 of the Royal Canadian Institute. He held honorary doctorates of the Universities of Toronto, Cambridge, Aberdeen and Pennsylvania, the Western Reserve University and the Jefferson Medical College. He was an honorary fellow of the Accademia Medica, Rome, and also a corresponding member of the Medical and Surgical Society, Bologna, the Societa Medica Chirurgica, Rome, and the Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina, Halle, and Foreign Associate Fellow of the College of Physicians, Philadelphia.
Jarett was a successful teacher and director of research. His lucid lectures were delivered in an attractive manner and his pupils and research associates found him a sympathetic and stimulating worker, who demanded exact work and the humility that was a feature of his character. He would not tolerate careless work. He was much interested in the development of medical education and especially in the introduction of scientific methods of investigation into clinical work.
Outside the laboratory he was keenly interested in golf and gardening and the arts, especially painting. Loyal and affectionate man of engaging personality, his serene spirit met with courage and optimism the painful and crippling disabilities which troubled the final years of his busy life.
Eric Jarett was married to Mary McWalter. He died on March 16, 1935.

Taking a Good Look at Dreamweaver.
About Dreamweaver: Originally produced by Macromedia and currently by the Adobe Systems, Dreamweaver is an application for web development. With the help of Dreamweaver, which integrates different aspects of web development including site management, page creation and web server tools, users can get a good outlook of the whole website. Various technologies like JavaScript, CSS and several frameworks and serverside scripting languages like ASP, ColdFusion and PHP have been given support by the new versions of the application. Both Windows Operating Systems and Mac supports Dreamweaver.
Features of Dreamweaver: The WYSIWYG mode of Dreamweavers can hide from the users, the pages’ HTML codes, even though the application is a WYSIWYG hybrid and a web development and design application. This also helps the non coders to create web pages and sites. One can easily create the table based layout using the Dreamweaver application. The application’s recent version also supports the standard based layout, enabling the conversion of tables to layers.
Using Dreamweavers, users can preview in the web browsers, the websites which has been installed locally. The application has templating features that help in the shared code’s source update, the total site’s layout with no serverside includes and scripting, and site management tools like SFTP, FTP and WebDAV features of synchronization and file transfers. It can also find and replace text lines and codes throughout the entire site by using regular expressions and search items.
Dreamweaver can utilize the third party ‘extensions’ to enable and extend the main functionality of the application. For most of the tasks of web developments, like simple effects of rollover to fully featured shopping carts, Dreamweaver is supported by many extension developers, making the free and commercial extensions available. Dreamweaver can also edit the files locally, and using FTP, WebDAV and SFTP, upload these files into the remote web server, like the other HTML editions.
Drawbacks: A drawback of Dreamweaver is its having the potential of producing HTML pages whose HTML code amount and file size are larger than what would be a page that is optimally hand coded, causing the poor performance of web browsers. Dreamweaver has also been criticized in the past by some website developers for producing code which many times do not comply with the standards of W3C. The Dreamweaver 8.0 has had a poor performance on the Acid 2 Test which was developed by Web Standards Project.
Syntax Highlighting: For several languages like Action Script, Active Server Pages, ASP.NET, EDML, Cascading Style Sheets, C#, ColdFusion, Java, Java Server Pages, Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformation, HyperText Markup Language, Extensible Markup Language, JavaScript, PHP, Visual Basic, Wireless Markup Language, and VB Script, the recent versions of Dreamweaver supports syntax highlighting. Selecting A Good SEO Company Is Key To A Successful SEO Campaign
The growth and penetration of the internet has brought Search Engine Optimization or SEO to the fore for marketing of a company’s offerings. The trend has prompted the growth of many firms that offer SEO services at inexpensive rates. These companies have several benefits but a careful comparison of what they provide is highly advisable before finalizing an SEO company.
The most fundamental parameter of judging an SEO company is whether it follows ethical practices or not. Although an unscrupulous practice might be able to yield results quickly, it can easily lead to search engine fines, and might even project a bad impression on prospective customers. The right way of attracting a lot of visitors is to select practices that are well accepted, along with concentrating on the standard of your website. Ethical SEO techniques include using good keyword rich content, generating links to your site, and using Meta tags in the right manner.
A good SEO company will give due importance to the content of the website and will ensure that it is unique and follows the keyword density norms. Both these aspects go a long way in increasing the ranking of your website with major search engines. Besides, content sharing has become an essential SEO strategy, and therefore the company must create materials like videos and articles to be circulated without charging any fees.
The SEO company has to be aware of the technological developments in the field and have the ability to provide the whole spectrum of SEO services. Understanding your business, carrying out research work for finding out keywords that are often used by customers, and then specifying plans for bringing in additional visitors to the site are all a part of that.
Expertise in SEO techniques and their use in different situations is the formula for sure-shot success in an SEO campaign. Established SEO firms have a well trained group of specialists who are skilled in these tools and strategies and understand what works and what does not work in a specific situation.
Last but not the least, it is vital to note that SEO is not a one time activity, and lasting success can only be achieved by making use of SEO services periodically. It is not easy to monitor the constant changes in the search engine algorithms, and to keep your site aligned to these changes, you will need a good SEO company by your side to guide you.
